FirstHealth Raeford Hospital Opens in Hoke County

Hoke County will celebrate the grand opening of their inaugural hospital with FirstHealth of the Carolinas on Sept 22. To commemorate this momentous occasion, FirstHealth is hosting a ribbon cutting with guests including N.C. Turkey Festival Choir and All Veteran Parachute Team as special guests.

Emergency Services

Hoke County residents will soon have access to a full-service hospital featuring two operating rooms, four intensive care beds and 16 emergency department beds. This new hospital will enable patients to remain close to home while receiving critical care – saving both time and money by eliminating costly transfers between facilities.

Sandhills Emergency Physicians, an independent and democratic group of board-eligible or board-certified specialists in emergency medicine, staff the emergency department at our hospital. In addition, skilled nurse practitioners and physician assistants also offer patient services within this group.
