1- What is IELTS?
IELTS stands for “International English Language Testing System”, understood as the international English language testing system.
The IELTS exam was founded in 1989 by three ESOL organizations: the University of Cambridge, the British Council and the educational organization IDP (Australia).
The IELTS score scale is calculated from 1 to 9. Exam results will be ranked as follows:

3- IELTS certification unit
As you learn what IELTS is, you will see that this certificate is issued by two organizations, IDP and BC. In there:
+ PDI The full name is IDP Education. This is an Australian educational organization specializing in recruiting students to study abroad in Australia. In Vietnam, IDP has been present since 1996 with the role of organizing the IELTS exam and seminars on other related subjects.
+BC The full name is British Council. It is a cultural cooperation and educational exchange organization established in the United Kingdom. BC has been present in Vietnam since 1993. Initially, this organization mainly offered exchange activities on culture, people, science and education. Until now, BC has become one of the reputed units in conducting the IELTS exam.
IDP and BC have many partners around the world. These partners are authorized to hold IELTS exams at locations approved by IDP and BC. However, they do not have the authority to issue IELTS qualifications.
The two IELTS awarding organizations both have a long history. They also have numerous facilities in 30 countries around the world. IELTS certificates issued by IDP or BC are also valid. The procedures for registering for the exam, re-examining or changing the exam schedule are also similar. You can therefore freely choose the issuer of the certificate.
4- How long is an IELTS certificate valid?
The IELTS certificate is valid for two years. After this time, most organizations will not accept your IELTS score.
When your English certificate expires, you will need to retake the test to prove your English proficiency. Because IELTS exam partners will not accept verification of your test results after 2 years.
